The South China Morning Post (SCMP) in Hong Kong announced the selection of eleven Asian icons who shone this year, half of whom are Koreans.
Media praised him for his courage and sense of responsibility in choosing voluntary enlistment, considering the international fame and popularity of BTS, as BTS member Jin took fourth place in the recent volunteer enlistment rankings, the highest ranking among Koreans.
BTS' Jin's situation at the training center was also revealed. The Infantry Division's Recruit Training Center recently released a group photo of the new recruits, including Jin. In the photo, Jin is seen striking a pose with his fellow trainees, particularly looking neat in his military uniform.
Jin, who is the first member of BTS to enlist, entered the 5th Infantry Division Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province on the 13th of December 2022. He will be discharged on June 12, 2024.
The BTS members have been focusing on individual activities due to their individual enlistment issues.
